Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Poker Halo ("we", "us") for using the Poker Halo website and app at https://pokerhalo.com (the "Service"). By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information, and our Responsible play page explains how we think about gambling.

1. Who can use Poker Halo

You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If your local law sets a higher age for poker content, that age applies to you. Don't use the Service where it's against the law.

2. What Poker Halo is, and isn't

Poker Halo is a companion app for recreational players: lessons and tools, a tracker for home games, casino sessions and your bankroll, a directory of poker rooms, and poker games played for play chips.

  • We are not a gambling operator. We don't take bets, hold anyone's money, run real-money games or pay out winnings.
  • Home-game tracking is a record you keep. Buy-ins, cash-outs and "who pays whom" are notes about money that players handle between themselves, outside the Service. You're responsible for making sure any game you play or host is legal where you are; rules on private home games differ by state and country.
  • Not advice. Lessons, odds, stats and "Halo's read" are for learning and fun. They aren't financial, tax or legal advice, and we don't promise any result from following them.

3. Play chips

Online poker in Poker Halo uses play chips only. Play chips have no cash value. They can't be bought, sold, traded, cashed out or exchanged for money, prizes or anything of value, and we may reset them at any time. Offering or accepting anything of value for play chips, or for the result of a game, breaks these terms.

4. Your account

You can use much of Poker Halo without an account; your data then stays on your device. With an account, your data is backed up and synced. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. One person per account.

Friends who open a live game or table link can join as guests without an account. Guests follow these terms too.

You can delete your account at any time from your Profile or Settings. If you have Plus, cancel it first so you aren't billed again.

5. Poker Halo Plus

Plus is an optional subscription: $4.99 a month, or $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Taxes may be added at checkout.

  • Payment. Checkout and billing are handled by Stripe, which may act as the seller of record for your purchase; Stripe's terms also apply to the payment. We never see your full card details.
  • Renewal. Plus renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. A free trial turns into a paid yearly plan when it ends unless you cancel before then.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from Plus → Manage subscription. Plus stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • Refunds. Payments aren't refundable, and we don't give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong, email pokerhaloapp@gmail.com and we'll look at it.
  • Changes. We'll tell you before a price change affects your renewal, so you can cancel first. What Plus includes may change over time; the Plus page lists what's included now and what's planned.

6. What you post

You own what you write, like room notes, live-table chat, names and game details. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people it's meant for (for example, other members reading room notes) and run the Service with it.

Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, misleading or spammy, anything that isn't yours to share, or anyone's private information. We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules. To report content or a copyright problem, email pokerhaloapp@gmail.com with a link and what's wrong.

When you add other people to your games (for example, players at your home game), only add what they're happy for you to keep, and respect their wishes if they ask you to remove it.

7. Using the Service fairly

  • No cheating at online tables: no collusion, sharing hole cards, multiple accounts at one table, or bots playing for you.
  • No using Poker Halo to organise, promote or run illegal gambling.
  • No scraping, overloading, probing or breaking the Service, and no getting around its limits or Plus locks.
  • No impersonating anyone or misusing someone else's account.

8. Poker room information

Room details come from the venues' own public websites and can change without notice; always check with the venue before you go. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any casino or poker room. Names, logos and photos belong to their owners.

9. Our content

Poker Halo, Halo the mascot, our artwork, lessons and software belong to Poker Halo. You may use them only through the Service, for your own non-commercial use.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that calculations, odds, stats or room details are accurate or complete. Keep your own records of anything important.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Poker Halo won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, money or goodwill, including anything arising from games you play or money you exchange with others. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the Service, what you posted or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, to the extent the law allows.

13. Ending

You can stop using Poker Halo and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or stop offering the Service, with notice where we reasonably can. If we stop offering Plus, we'll refund unused paid time.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
